Garden blooms

Not a lot of words today.
Except to say that summer has been awesome so far!

Just wanting to show some of the blooms from the June garden.
The month of June brought an explosion of color to Grace Gardens.
The peonies were amazing!

I need to move so many of them because some are sitting in too much shade,
so this will be on my to do list later this season.
I enjoyed the bountiful blooms so much, knowing that I won't have as many next year
because of moving some.
They may sit and sulk a couple of years after I plant them, but I divided
some two years ago and I was surprised but the amount of blooms the new ones had this year.

The clematis are going a little crazy right now.
I LOVE these wonderful vines!

How many are too many, I wonder?

The Idaho state flower- the Syringa ((mock orange) or Philadelphus lewisii
has just finished blooming in my garden.
Such an intoxicating scent and pretty little flower. This blooms all over in
my part of Idaho. It grows mainly as a small shrub in the wild and drier areas
but can grow about 6' to 8' under irrigation.

Bye-bye peonies for another year!
For a few more views of what's been blooming here just click on the first photo on my sidebar to
go to my garden blog.
Wishing you all a wonderful week!

I wish I had just a pinch of your green thumb because your flowers are always to die for! My parents just planted Syringa and it smells amazing. One of these days when I have a forever home, I can't wait to plant peonies again among so many other lovely flowers. Hope you are staying cool!

Sit and sulk - I like that. Your flowers are just always so beautiful. There was a mock orange growing outside of the front porch at home when I was growing up. The smell of just says summer to me. That and phlox. Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden, June. Diane

Extremely, extremely, e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y jealous! Your flowers are so beautiful. Sadly, the grasshoppers are killing everything in our garden, including our grass. All that hard work for nothing.

Beautiful photos, as always.

Oh June,
Your peonies are AMAZING …….. and, so many. They must love the conditions in your garden. Every part of your garden is so beautiful and, you cannot get such a wonderful garden without a lot of hard work. We moved to our house 28 years ago and there were three small red peonies { probably planted in Victorian times }. Gradually, they have got smaller and smaller and have now disappeared !! The conditions in our garden obviously don't suit peonies. I think they produced a few leaves this year but that was that !!!! SO, I have to say that I'm a little envious of your magnificent display ….. and your clematis are wonderful too. You certainly have green fingers June. You must be so proud of your garden and get so much pleasure from the flowers, whether they are growing outside or displayed inside the house.
….. and, you are brilliant at display. The way you present everything ….. you should have worked on an interiors magazine.
Even though my peony display isn't very good, my Philadelphus is about 10 foot high and was absolutely wonderful this year and so was my ' Seagull ' rose !!
Enjoy your wonderful garden June and keep the photographs coming …. it is such a pleasure to see. XXXX

I'm loving your peonies, swoon!! Mine have been done for a few weeks now. I'm loving all the pics of your yard but it has got me thinking. How do you keep everything so green and luscious? With temps in the 90's here,I'm up at 5am out watering, at 7 it a dash into the shower and off to work. It's 11pm and just getting around to visiting blogs. The price we pay to keep our flowers blooming. Best go turn off the sprinkler and get to bed. Take care sweet one and keep the picture coming!

So gorgeous June!!! Your pictures are like a view into heaven. You didn't know you lived in heaven, did you? That's how refreshing they are. I have a mock orange bush and it reaches up to the power lines and spreads at least 20 feet across. I'd like to prune it since it shades my vegetable garden, but I don't know where to start.

Oh, June
No beauty compares to the love put into a garden, can you stop with so much garden beauty? You make me want to rip mine out and ask it why can't you grow with such beauty as Junes garden.
I am getting ready to create some garden boxes and plant herbs and box woods, some pea gravel and lavenders giving areas a chance live French instyle :)
Also a much easier spirit to my lifestyle of contending to so much at once.

Love how your R/A dish settings match so perfectly to your garden. The birdhouse is sweetly planted adding love for the welcoming.

See you and your beauty soon.

Gorgeous, GORGEOUS! You make me happy with your art, dearest June. AND...yesterday in my garden, a friend came over to play with me and my camera. Together, along with her daughter, we figured out how to get the look I want from my photos. I just needed to turn off the flash function and even in the dark areas of the house, I captured the look I wanted. I have a long way to go, but it sure is fun to play. What an awesome summer of blooms and nature, indeed! Hugs, Anita

So beautiful June...perhaps that's why your mother named you June, because you embody the beauty of that month and its blossoms so well! And I haven't smelled Mock Orange in years, my grandmother had it...I may need to buy some! My peonies bloomed beautifully the first year I moved them from my parent's home, so fingers crossed yours will do the same!

June I loose myself entirely when I visit your gorgeous site. I go to such a happy place when I see your amazing peonies and gardens.
I have to say when I think of beautiful gardens you come into mind first before anything else.
I don't know why you don't have your own garden show so I could really loose myself. haha
These pictures are as always just spectacular and I can not tell you how gorgeous everything is.
If I could be transplanted I would want it to be to Idaho next to you.
Your visiting me today was the highlight of my week. I always love to open up my site and find you were there.
Like your garden you are amazing and I love you

June! Thank you my friend, for coming to visit and yes, my girlfriend and her 13 genius of a daughter came over on Monday. We played with the camera and by accident, found what to do on my Canon to give me the look I want. Then Photoshop has helped out a lot to take out the yellow cast that always appears. I am getting to a point where I am achieving that softer look to my photos.

I hope you are having a sensational summer; we are enjoying each day as the wrens sing in our garden and the sun shines!!! Hugs sweet friend, Anita
